About the Job
As part of the Assurance team, you will provide on-site support for assignments, ensuring clients receive top-quality service.
Responsibilities:
Play a crucial role in Assurance teams, including leading on-site work.
Execute assignments in accordance with pre-assignment instructions, ensuring thorough and efficient completion in line with firm procedures.
Maintain high Assurance quality, contributing to internal and external quality assurance standards.
Immediately report any compliance issues or contentious matters to the assignment manager, proposing possible solutions.
Provide briefing, supervision, and "on the job" training for junior staff.
Serve as the day-to-day client contact, exemplifying excellent client service.
Stay informed about the firm’s specialist services and publications to add value to clients.
Review work of junior staff for thoroughness and completeness, conducting job appraisal reviews.
Compare actual time spent to budgeted time on assignments, performing review and completion procedures before manager review.
Enhance technical knowledge through reading and courses, meeting professional CPD requirements.
Attend staff meetings and training sessions, and assist in student recruitment, training, and marketing activities.
Perform other duties as required by the Line Manager or Head of Department.
Requirements:
ACA or ACCA qualified (or equivalent).
Previous experience in Assurance tasks within a professional services firm.
Proven client handling skills and the ability to produce high-quality Assurances.
Desirable: Experience with analytical review approaches.
