Role Overview:
As the Director of Audit, you will lead the firm's external audit services, overseeing a team of Audit Managers and Audit Juniors (18). You will be responsible for managing and developing the firm's audit portfolio, ensuring all audits are completed efficiently and to a high standard. This role offers an excellent opportunity for an experienced audit specialist to take on a leadership role in a reputable firm.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and manage the firm's external audit services, ensuring all audits are completed efficiently and to a high standard.
- Oversee a team of Audit Managers and Audit Juniors, providing guidance and support as needed.
- Develop and maintain relationships with clients, understanding their business needs and providing strategic advice.
- Keep up-to-date with changes in audit regulations and industry developments to ensure the firm's services are in line with best practices.
- Work closely with other departments within the firm to provide a holistic approach to clients' financial needs.
Candidate Profile:
- At least 8 years of experience in external audit within an accountancy practice.
- ACA or ACCA qualified with strong technical knowledge of audit regulations.
- Experience in managing and developing a team.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build and maintain relationships with clients.
- Proactive and forward-thinking mindset, with a focus on delivering high-quality services to clients.
