DC + Cloud Sales Specialist

Initially focused on reselling server, storage, networking, and client-compute technologies, they have recently developed a strong practice in data-centre and cloud services. Their offerings include cloud storage, on-prem and virtual backup, M365 and Google Workspace backup, Azure & AWS backup, hybrid cloud solutions, analytics, and content management, all supported by in-house managed services.
The teams work remotely and from several London offices, covering various functions including sales, client services, presales, service desk, engineering, operations, logistics, finance, marketing, and HR. This role will primarily be office-based in Kingston KT2 3 days a week, with opportunities for hybrid working.
Role & Responsibilities
We are seeking an experienced Account Manager to drive sales of cloud and data-centre solutions. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 3 years' experience in the IT reseller industry and be eager to develop a professional sales career in the rapidly growing tech sector, particularly cloud storage.
Key responsibilities include:
Prospecting accounts, qualifying leads, and closing business by managing the full sales cycle from inception to close.
Selling to new and existing customers both over the phone and face-to-face, requiring a proactive approach.
Cross-selling and upselling by conducting service reviews for existing clients to expand their engagement with the company's services.
Targeting new opportunities within existing accounts to sell the full range of offerings.
Acquiring new accounts through continuous prospecting, particularly from a database of existing customers.
Collaborating with vendor partners to jointly target accounts.
Managing and progressing leads through the sales process to closure.
Achieving business-set KPIs, maintaining an accurate sales pipeline, and forecasting.
Enhancing industry knowledge and sales proficiency through ongoing personal training.

Remuneration
Basic Salary: £30-£40,000 (depending on experience)
OTE: £50-£60,000
Holiday: 28 days paid holiday per annum (including bank holidays), with additional discretionary paid leave between Christmas and New Year (usually 3 days). An additional 3 days paid leave for volunteering opportunities is also provided.
