The role in brief:

An opportunity has arisen to join the corporate tax team as an adviser – at a senior level, either on a full time or part time basis.

Who we are looking for:

This is an ideal opportunity for someone who already has some initial experience working within a tax team and wants to progress, perhaps gain some exposure to tax planning, or has an accounts background and is seeking a move into corporate tax.  Alternatively, this role would suit someone experienced in corporate tax wanting either to return to the workplace.


What the role involves:

You will be a part of our corporate tax team providing an excellent tax compliance and planning service to a large range of corporate clients and business owners.

You will start by building or developing on your experience of corporation tax compliance, preparing corporation tax computations and returns and tax provisions for accounts.

You will have responsibility for managing tax return filing deadlines from the start and your responsibility will grow as you progress.

You will start to have client contact from day one as well as working closely with our accounting and auditing team members.

As your experience grows, you will get involved in working on more complex clients such as larger groups and international clients and HMRC enquiries.

You will also get involved in advisory work for clients – initially in corporate tax but broadening into reconstructions, company sales and acquisitions and tax planning for the business owner as well as the company.


Your development

They will provide a study package towards the CTA qualification if desired by the candidate, including study leave and will mentor you through your qualification journey.

They also provide a complementary range of training opportunities to ensure that you maximise your potential in areas such as becoming a trusted adviser, how to network, presentation skills etc with opportunities for progression around the firm.

They have quarterly performance review conversations to ensure your development is on track. They also hope to develop this role further beyond Senior Adviser level for the candidate who would like it.

They also encourage you to get involved in wider firm initiatives and have your say on how we can progress on our journey towards being the best North West firm of finance professionals.
